IT Junior System Administrator

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 35 hours 10.30am-6.30pm, plus outside normal working hours depending on the needs of the business

Location: Kentish Town, London

Currently full time working from home, from Q4 2021 hybrid working (up to 3 days per week working from home)

Key Responsibilities:

As an System Administrator you will be part of a dedicated in-house IT team, working alongside the operational teams to deliver the company’s business objectives. You will also: -

  • Support, maintain and evolve the company’s IT and Telephony infrastructure including private and public cloud environments
  • Provide IT support to computer users and act as the first port of call
  • When a high-severity issue occurs, identify a plan of action and fix or chase suppliers until resolution                                                                                         
  • Ensure any high risk endpoint alerts are cleared in a timely manner
  • Ensure high risk security updates are installed across our infrastructure in a timely manner
  • Maintain awareness of current technology, trends and practices of the trade
  • Ensure our call recording system is running and call archiving is up-to-date
  • Ensure backups are running correctly and conduct periodic testing
  • Ensure monthly penetration tests are run on all external network devices
  • Attend meetings and other forums as required to raise awareness and provide updates of system administration tasks
